Schedule for the day:

8:30am: Outplanting training in the Bud n Mary’s barn. Address: 79851 Overseas Hwy, Islamorada, FL 33036. Come ready to learn about the reefs that we are restoring!  Training consists of a brief powerpoint presentation and a hands-on demonstration of safe outplanting techniques.

We recommend bringing a lunch to enjoy during the 1-2 hour break between the presentation and dives. You can also use this opportunity to check out any of the restaurants located near the dive shop. Ask us for suggestions!

12:15pm: Check-in for the afternoon boat.

12:30pm: We leave the dock to outplant! Your 2 dives will be on the same site and you will be supervised by an I.CARE Divemaster and dive shop staff. All outplanting equipment will be provided! We will return to the dock between 4-5pm.

What to bring with you: 

• We provide an ice cooler and drinking water on the boat – please bring your own refillable water bottle.
• Feel free to bring any additional snacks & drinks you prefer
• Don’t forget towels, sunglasses, hat or protective clothing, and a dry bag for phones, car keys, etc.
• Please also pack only reef safe sunscreen to help protect our corals. Ingredients to avoid 
  • We also offer Stream2Sea reef safe sunscreen at our shop
• We have hot fresh water showers on the boat for rinsing off after your amazing dives

Extra Special Offer:

Do you want to earn an SSI Coral Identification specialty certification while you’re at it? This course is offered in conjunction with our Coral Outplanting seminar and dives. Read the materials and join the classroom portion of the full course, and earn your Coral ID Specialty, which also counts towards your Master Diver Rating! When taken with the I.CARE dives, this course is only $60 and all profits are donated to I.CARE. Call or e-mail us to sign-up for academics!

We charge $2 per trip, donated to reef restoration.

Key Dives donates 2% of all dive revenue toward restoring our coral reefs.

Please note: All trips will be charged in full a week prior to their departure date. We have a 24-hour cancellation policy (72 hours during holiday periods). Any cancellations inside this 24-hour (72 hour during holiday periods) window will forfeit the cost of that trip. If Key Dives cancels for issues due to weather, there will be a full refund for that trip.
